What is ClearDB communicating today about a CHANGE of SERVICE on the AZURE Cloud?
ClearDB is discontinuing the Mercury DB and Titan DB service plans in the Microsoft Azure cloud. Due to recent changes in the Azure cloud, ClearDB will be removing the Mercury DB and Titan DB service plans from the Azure Marketplace, effective March 14, 2018. All other service plans are not impacted.

How do I discover which service plans I am using?
Log into the Azure portal, click the “All Resources” link from the navigation options on the left, and look for your database name. Click it, then look for the plan type in the “Essentials” blade that loads. If the plan says “Free” that is Mercury DB.” You can also review our VIDEO for help upgrading, the first part of that video goes through that process.

If you are not finding anything in the Azure portal, you will need to login to the ClearDB portal. The ClearDB portal will list all of your databases and plan names on the landing page after logging in. If you are still having difficulty, the ClearDB team would be happy to assist you. Please submit a request to support@cleardb.com with your subscription ID and database ID. The ClearDB Support team will respond via email with your subscription information.

What is the termination date for the current Mercury or Titan Service Plans in the AZURE Cloud?
To ensure continuity of the ClearDB service simply upgrade your Mercury and/or Titan DB service plan to a Venus DB, Saturn DB or Jupiter DB service plan by March 14, 2018.

What is the process to upgrade my current Mercury or Titan Service Plans within the AZURE Cloud?

To upgrade your existing database, simply log into the Azure portal, locate your ClearDB-powered database by viewing “All Resources,” select the impacted database by clicking its name, then look for the “Scale up database” option. Clicking that link will let you choose a new subscription plan.

What will happen to my Mercury or Titan database after the March 14, 2018 termination date?
It is critical to take appropriate action and upgrade your database to a Venus, Saturn or Jupiter subscription prior to the dates listed above. After the termination date, any databases that remain on a Mercury or Titan subscription will be frozen, locked and no longer accessible to applications.
